What is gerrit wolsink?

Gerrit Wolsink is a former professional Dutch motocross and enduro racer. He was born on 9 November 1947 and began his motocross career in the 1960s. He won the Dutch National 500cc Motocross Championship in 1968 and 1969 before moving on to international competition.

Wolsink is best known for his performances in the 1970s when he competed in the FIM Motocross World Championships. He finished as the runner-up in the 500cc world championship in 1973, 1974, and 1976. He also won the Motocross des Nations with the Dutch team in 1974 and 1978.

After retiring from professional racing, Wolsink became a team manager and helped coach riders such as Johnny O'Mara and Jeff Ward. In 2013, he was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
